Autumn means art or what
With the crisp days of autumn come changing of colors, sweater weather, football season and of course artful days.
While Filmekimi has served us some of the most anticipated films of the upcoming season and just closed its doors, autumn in Istanbul is delighted to please us with many more art events. Remember you can opt for “Başka Sinema” all year long for a festival-like screenings held in certain theatres. “Las Herederas”, “Kings” or “Güvercin” can be good alternatives for movies from all around the world. Theatre season is also open so make sure to watch any of the best plays you missed last year, such as “39.Basamak”, “Arzu Tramvayı or “Önce Bir Boşluk Oldu Kalp Gidince Ama Şimdi İyi”. Plus, Istanbul Theatre Festival, with its slogan of “theatre is lived only once”, is on its way.

Encouraging visitors to take a closer look, guided tours are held every day except Mondays throughout the duration of the biennial at Akbank Sanat (hosts Unmaking School), Yapı Kredi Culture Centre (Currents School), Pera Museum (Scales School), Arter (Earth School), SALT Galata (Time School) and Studio-X Istanbul (Digestion School).
